It's almost that time of year again!! And given the year that everyone's had, it's maybe more important than ever to make Christmas as special as we can. It's also a special time for the pups in our lives. Nothing makes a better or more gorgeous picture than your pooch sat in front of the tree dressed as Santa's little helper. Below are some tips on how to keep Christnas safe for our four legged friends whilst also squeezing the maximum amount of fun out of the festive period...
If your dog is the sort to want to pay with those tempting hanging baubles, it might be an idea to leave a bare tree up for the first few days. That way they'll have grown used to it and most likely bored of it by the time you come to decorate :-)
Keep all electrical cords out of reach as those shiny lights can be hard to ignore and just a little too tempting for some!!
Avoid the chocolate baubles... As we all know by now, chocolate is poisonous for our furry friends so always best to leave the choccies off the tree! If you can't resist them, make sure you hang them from the top branches and out of reach.
Make it fun for your pup!! There are plenty of festive doggy advent calendars out there and lots of doggy baubles which you can personalise so that your pooch feels part of the festivities. Or go all out and dress them up in some festive gear. Just make sure it fits and you're good to go!! Some companies also do doggy Xmas Hampers if you really want to treat the pup in your life.
Christmas is the most magical time for 2 and 4 legged family members alike and this year more than ever, let's make this one, one to remember!
